The City of Sydney will host a Village Family Concerts that runs over two weekends with the first commencing Saturday 27th November 2010.  Justine Clarke will host these events with live music, kids entertainment and of course Santa will be there.  They are held at different parks in Sydney : Beare Park, Turruwul Park, Alexandria Park and Ward Park.  For more information visit City of Sydney.

Once again Sydney Town Hall will be alight with the Christmas Projections of images evoking A Sydney Christmas.  From the 18th November to 25th December 2010, Projections depicting a truly Australian Christmas will be aglow on the Town Hall 7 days a week from 8.30pm – 1.00am.  Families and visitors will be delighted with the spectacular and it is free.  Visit City of Sydney for more information.

Carols in the Domain – the night of stars will shine at Sydney’s Domain again this year on the 18th December 2010.  The event hosted by Channel 7′s Grant Denyer, is a time for everyone to celebrate the meaning of Christmas and the Woolworth’s Carols in the Domain helps to raise funds for the Salvation Army Oasis Youth Support Network through sales of the Carol Candle Bags $15.   The event kicks off at 12 noon with the following program:

12.00noon:  Event carnival kicks off.  Sponsor marquees, public catering, children’s carnival and carolsTV on the big screens.
3.00pm: carolsTV with Sally Stanton and pre-show entertainment on stage
8.30pm: Woolworths Carols in the Domain concert commences
11.00pm Event finishes

The month of December to most brings thoughts of Christmas and the endless celebrations and festivities that bring in the season.  Sydney comes alive over this period and has many events on offer for the young and old alike. St Martins Place boasts Sydney’s largest Christmas Tree and a Christmas concert is held in November when the tree is decorated.

CAROLS IN THE DOMAIN – Saturday 19th December 2009 12 noon – 11pm

The Domain, Art Gallery Road, Sydney

Childrens carnival commences at 12 noon, Channel 7 autograph stage opens at 3pm and the concert commences at 8.30pm.

This is a charity event raising money for The Salvation Army.  For those that can not make the event, Channel 7 broadcasts live so you can watch in the comfort of your own home.

CHRISTMAS PROJECTIONS will again light up Sydney Town Hall and other buildings in Macquarie Street.  Twelve slides will be projected depicting the 12 days of a Sydney Christmas.  The projections will rotate every hour from 8.30pm-1.00am commencing 26th November 2009.
