Every year the Sydney Showground comes alive with the carnival spirit when the Royal Easter Show is on.  From the 14th – 27th April, Sydney Showgrounds will be abuzz with rides, showbags, animals, games, food, displays, competitions and much more.  Gates will open at 9.30am and the laser and firework spectacular commences at 6.30pm.

There will be a variety of shows, from the Lumberjacks, Psycho Sideshow, Wood Chop, Show Jumping, Grand Parades and the fireworks fiesta.  For the shopaholic, you are even catered for with over 400 unique stores to browse through.

When the hunger sets in, a bevy of food stalls will be available to settle the grumbles.

At the end of the day, be sure to visit the Showbag Pavillion where you are sure to find a bag that is bursting with treats.

Sydney New Years Eve 2010

There is no bigger event than counting down the clock to the New Year and Sydney is the place to be.  There is no better place to celebrate than on the Sydney harbour as the Sydney Harbour Bridge is transformed into a spectacular fireworks display that can be seen from many different vantage points around the harbour.  More than 1.5 million people come out to celebrate enjoying the pre-show entertainment, aerial fly overs and harbour displays, indigenous Smoking Ceremony and Acknowledgment of Country, 9.00pm family fireworks, Harbour of Light Parade and of course the spectacular fireworks extravaganza at midnight.

CHRISTMAS PROJECTIONS will again light up Sydney Town Hall and other buildings in Macquarie Street.  Twelve slides will be projected depicting the 12 days of a Sydney Christmas.  The projections will rotate every hour from 8.30pm-1.00am commencing 26th November 2009.
