Tutankhamun Exhibit Dates

Whenever we think of Egypt, our mind conjures up images of large pyramids scattered across the Egyptian sands and the once empowered Pharaohs that ruled the lands.  One Pharaoh in particular is synonymous with Egypt and that is none other than King Tutankhamun ‘King Tut’.  The child pharaoh ruled as King from the 1333BC til 1323BC and was the tender age of 9 when he reigned.  His mummy has been the centre of many scientific investigations trying to piece together the reason of his death which has fascinated people around the world.  Although alot of his tombs’ contents was depleted by grave robbers, treasures had been secured and held in museums around the world.

Now, to the delight of many, Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs sponsored by National Geographic, will be on exhibit in Melbourne April 2011, unfortunately Sydney will not be hosting this event.  Don’t miss this wonderful display of artifacts from the tomb of the child King.
